Buckets serve a variety of purposes in car washing including mixing up car wash soap if you’re not using a foam cannon and for rinsing off your wash mitt during washing. Using a bucket to rinse your wash mitt is called the bucket wash method and allows you to rinse dirt off your mitt during washing, prevent scratching of your car’s paint and clearcoat.
