Diamond Gold Basecoat
is a diamond pearl that reflects a sparkly and vibrant gold hue in the sun and when used at a low load, is hardly noticeable in the shade. This color is great to accent the base coat whether it be a solid base or a pearl base, but can also create many amazing finishes when mixing or layering with other pearls.
All of our Alpha Custom Color Basecoats are bound in a specifically formulated binder that has pigment control (to avoid striping or mottling), great UV Resistance, crystal clear, and great pearl suspension.
This color is also available in aerosol spray cans and dry pearl pigment for peelable paints and other non – automotive paint applications.
EFFECT OPTIONS:
1) Subtle: Best for slight effect that will provide a sparkle and slight pop of color to your base color or substrate. (provides a black / color flip effect with 1-2 coats over black basecoat)
2) Medium: Best over base colors that you want more pop of color and sparkle. Over black this is what would be used to get more of a full coverage look. Over other colors this is ideal for effect and sparkle.
3)Heavy: This gives the most pop of color and sparkle. Ideal over white or any other base color other than black. This should not be sprayed over black, as it will “White out” quickly.

Basecoat Recommendation : Black Sealer for full coverage or ANY BASECOLOR FOR A ” GHOST” EFFECT
We highly recommend using the HR13xx reducer & HH57 hardener. Other high end reducer & hardeners may work as well, though have not been tested.
Hardener is optional in our basecoat but highly recommended as it makes the basecoat even more durable, lay even flatter off the gun, and overall a better finish. For optimum durability and adhesion BC may be mixed with 5% basecoat hardener then reduced 1:1.Keep in mind, if you add hardener to the basecoat, it will catalyze and not be able to be put back in the can and stored.
Colors may vary depending on computer and mobile screen color settings. In order to ensure that the color meets your expectations, we highly recommend purchasing a sample size first.
